Utsikt från Oppidium d'Enserune -- Nice view from Oppidium d'Enserune. The field in front of us used to a lake in the middle ages. It provided peole with oysters, mussels and seafood. But the lake didn't have any outlet. Etang de Montady is a strange circular depression, a remanent of an ancient lake drained by monks in the XIIth C. It is famous for its pie-shaped fields which preserve the original drainage channels. There is a subterrain chanel dug for eight km to let the water out.
